EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

 

The Emergency Management Coordinator is responsible for planning, activating, coordinating and the conduct of Emergency Management operations within the Borough and serves as chair of the local Emergency Management Council.

The Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator can proclaim a state of local disaster within the Borough in the case of a disaster or imminent disaster and can carry out Emergency Management operations to protect the health, safety, and resources of Borough residents.

 

 

The Emergency Management Coordinator is required to appoint at least one Deputy Emergency Management Coordinators with the approval of the Mayor from among the salaried officers of the municipality.

The Emergency Management Coordinator for 2016 is April Suk and the Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator is Kelly Tyres.
